Description: Thin, flattened, brownish red
fronds, with small discoid holdfast and short stipe, to 350 mm
high, 0.5–1.5 times as broad as long. Blade irregular obovate,
entire or cleft into obovate or wedge-shaped segments.
Habitat: Rarely on rock in shady pools in the low
intertidal; subtidal to 35 m, south and west coasts,
occasional.
