Rhodymenia delicatula P.J.L.Dangeard
Description: Fleshy, dark red, flattened
fronds, irregularly ovate-lanceolate, simple or branched, to 20
mm high and 3 mm broad. One to several fronds with cylindrical
stipes to 5 mm long arise from small fleshy disc. Irregular
branched coralloid processes frequent on fronds, readily
detached and possibly capable of serving for vegetative
propogation.
Habitat: In cracks and crevices, lower
intertidal and subtidal, southern and western coasts, probably
widespread, but frequently overlooked.
